Sunderland once again found the going tough, this time against a Leeds side content to come away with a draw. But once again, Sunderland found something special once again. They remain undefeated. Leeds have now not won in 3.

Burnley were much too strong at home for Newcastle. It was their seventh home win in a row. Newcastle have now not won in 4 games.

After Coventry’s comprehensive win last week, they returned to their losing ways. They are the only team not to have won an away game, while Chelsea have won 4 of their last 5 games.

Crystal Palace, after 6 home win in a row, dropped points at home.

Derby’s win over Liverpool was their first win in 3 games, while Liverpool have only won 2 of their last 6.

Everton’s scoreless draw with Forest was their first point after 7 losses. Forest remain undefeated away from home (W4, D6)

Manchester City, after 4 straight losses have now won 3 in a row with their win against Ipswich. Ipswich have only managed 1 home win in their last 4.

Across Manchester, United had a terrible game and struggled all day. It was their first home win after two losses.

Tottenham has now won 5 wins in a row after their easy win against Wednesday. Sheffield Wednesday have now lost 3 in a row.

Meanwhile in the Midland derby Wolves win over a struggling WBA meant it was their first win in 4 games. That was West Bromwich’s 5th loss in a row and in the last 5 games they have scored 4 and conceded a spectacular 20 goals.
