Third Division Bradford City have beaten Leicester City 2-1 to reach the Cup semi-finals, where the will be playing Leeds United.
Leeds United comfortably beat West Ham at Upton Park 3-0.
QPR traveled to Goodison Park and shocked Everton by scoring half way the first half and keeping their lead till half time. With the crisis of confidence Everton are currently suffering from, there was the strong possibility that the Londoners would snatch the win. Everton equalised in the first minute of the second half and hit the lead with a Ball exquisite free kick.
QPR almost took the tie to a replay as the last shot of the match hit the post and escaped to safety, leaving the London side with a long drive back home.
Everton will face Manchester United in the semi-finals. United faced a forceful and daring Blackpool side who took the game up to the division one stars and definitely scared them.
Blackpool hit the lead after 10 minutes with a 20 yard power shot. Kidd, with the help of Charlton, equalised before half time.
Manchester United hit the lead on the hour mark as George Best powered away from the Blackpool defence to casually slot the ball into the net, and give United a 2-1 lead.
With 10 minutes of the game remaining Blackpool shook United’s confidence with a well deserved equaliser. United stumbled along from then on, clumsily trying to find the winner. It came with a minute of the game to go, as the sublime and calm Best chipped the keeper for 12 yards out to send the United supporters, who travelled, into raptures of joy.
