Sunderland 3 (Hughes 8, Tueart 26, Kerr 54)
Sunderland continue to win and the football world are shaking their heads in wonderment as how such a modest side can beat good sides every week. In reality, Spurs were very poor and they won’t get near any glory this season on such performances. But who will catch Sunderland when they are so strong and accomplished every week?
Before the first goal Jennings earned his money for the whole month as he saved a number of shots in the first 5 minutes of the match.
Sunderland slowed the pace down in the second half and continued to dominate. A third goal just after half time finished the game off and Sunderland stay clearly on top. As for Spurs, Bill Nicholson was furious with the performance. Changes will probably be made for next week.
