Sunderland Stay Top, Man Utd, Forest, Stoke and Leeds Impress

Sunderland continued to impress this weekend as they traveled to White Hart Lane and convincingly beat Spurs 3-0.

Tottenham have lost form, with only one win in the last five games.


Forest beat Palace 5-3 in an entertaining match. Crystal Palace got close, getting the match to 4-3 before conceding a fifth late on. Nottingham Forest have not lost in nine games and are the only side to have taken a point off league leaders Sunderland.

Man Utd, their first win in 6 games. impressively beat West Ham 3-1. The Hammers have not won in their last 5 games.

Leeds are returning to their old form traveling to Coventry and easily beating them 5-2. Leeds have now not lost in their last 5 league games, while Coventry have not won in 9 games and are dropping closer to the relegation zone. Chelsea are also in trouble, only a point above relegation.


Southampton, stopped a three game loss streak with the win at Everton, their second goal a masterful free kick.

Meanwhile Derby’s good win at Wednesday was the home teams first loss in 6 games. Newcastle’s win over Wolves was due to a lucky own goal, while Burnley came from behind to beat Ipswich 2-1.


In an eventful match at Roker Park, Stoke scored 4 goals to finally beat Everton 4-3. It’s the same amount of goals they’ve scored in their first 11 games of the season.
