An incredible 46 goals were scored this weekend. Even Stoke scored! Though they lost. Meanwhile Sunderland maintained top spot for doing what they’ve done every week. Smash teams. This time it was WBA who got a 4-1 thumping.
Arsenal lost at home to Sheffield Wednesday. And it was all down to them. Arsenal easily had 12 good chances to score, and they were all missed. Wednesday snuck a goal in first half injury time and a second in the first minute of the second. With just a couple of blinks of their eyes Arsenal found themselves two goals down and their attacking momentum meant nothing. They managed a consolation in the 90th.
As mentioned earlier this week’s game was only the second league game that Stoke have scored in. And you thought you had problems.
Liverpool convincingly beat Coventry, but they had to come from behind twice to do so.
Chelsea went up 2-0 against Man City only for City to score 4.
Sunderland was very swashbuckling in their first half against WBA, overpowering their visitors with three goals. WBA played much better in the second half and matched Sunderland, even scoring a consolation goal.
In an entertaining game Wolves and Forest shared the points, with the lead changing, Forest went 1-0 up only to see Wolves go 2-1 up. Forest managed an equaliser near the end of the game.
