Chelsea 2 (Osgood 32, Harris 88)
Crystal Palace 0
Chelsea finally showed their quality this season, comfortably beating a Palace team that seemed out of their depth.
Chelsea’s dominance started as early as the 3rd minute. Osgood sighting up his chances for a shot.
Osgood’s shot looks like heading into the net.
Palace’s Jackson stretches for the ball…
…and tips it away to safety. Jackson would be put under such pressure all afternoon.
Just after the half hour, Hudson looks up for a target.
He slides it past 4 Palace into an empty space.
Osgood glides into the empty space…
…and calmly makes it 1-0.
Palace’s most serious chance of the game came in half way through the second half.
…lays it off to Blyth!
Blyth’s shot is stopped by the wall that is Bonetti.
10 minutes to go and Chelsea have a corner.
In it comes.
The corner is missed by the first two players.
Whoops! More Palace defenders completely miss it as well
The ball falls to Chopper Harris.
Who taps it in. Easy Peasy. 2-0 to Chelsea.
